MARS MAGNO is a twice weekly comic book which appears every Wednesday and Thursday from comic book artist Andy Fish.  Andy gave himself the challenge to see if he could first produce a weekly, and then twice weekly strip which he would eventually collect it in print form as pages pile up.

Mars is a drama with some comedy elements to it.  "It's not an outright comedy," Says Fish.  "the humor comes from the situations.  I'm going to avoid outright parody but it will occasionally slip in."

The strip will also be loaded with Easter Eggs including appearances by Captain Kirk and Mr Spock, Cornelius from Planet of the Apes,  an interplanetary language in code with a contest for readers who are able to decode and much much more.

Eventually there will be a fan club because as Fish says "I know my Mom will sign up."  Mars Magno In-Action figures are now available in the STORE.

CHARACTERS
MARS MAGNO
Mars is a Galaxy Marshal whose job is to bring in some of the most dangerous threats to the Universal Galaxy Prefecture which encompasses most of the galaxy containing Earth and several nebulian galaxies some of which are in a state of war.

Mars is not the hardest working agent and often finds himself at odds with his bosses who tend to assign him busy work.

Mars was born on the dark side of Earth's Moon-- which is why he has no visible pupils (he does, they are just white like the rest of his eye).  Mars hopes to some day be assigned with the woman of his dreams, Emma Riggs.

TEZUKA MORI
Mars' best friend and the only agent in the Galaxy Marshal Service who might be lazier than Mars.  "Moe" is often a bad influence on Mars.  His biggest goal is to make it to retirement so he can live on his Marshal pension.  He has little interest in career advancement.  Moe was also born on the dark side of Earth's moon.

EMMA RIGGS
One of the best agents in the Marshal service-- Emma is cool and efficient, she has an honest affection for Mars but she recognizes that he doesn't always try his hardest.
Emma sometimes covers for Mars to keep him out of trouble often without his knowledge.

ANDROPOLIS ZURIANO
A former Galaxy Marshal also known as ELVIS MUERTO, he is a cold calculating assassin for hire.  He is the most wanted man in the Galaxy but has the unnerving ability to disappear for long lengths of time.  Unknown to the Marshals, Zuriano is a time traveler which is how he seems to disappear.


LIONEL CURTIS
The head of the Marshal service, he wants Moe removed from active duty but sees some hope in Mars.

ABOUT ANDY FISH...

Andy Fish is a longtime comic book creator, both as an artist and a writer.   Born and raised in New England he is a respected gallery artist with works on display both at the National Gallery in Washington DC but also in the homes of many influential people.

He makes annual convention appearances at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC, New York City Comic Con and San Diego Comic Con.  Check his website for the latest list of appearances.

Andy is a professor of Graphic Novel Studies at Emerson College in Boston and does his own online courses in comics and writing.

His wife is the immensely talented and beautiful Veronica Fish.
